A perforated drum (1) is provided, being supported by an external support roller (2). When water has been removed from the material, it emerges through the holes in the drum. - To remove material from the surfaces of the drum and the support roller, water jets are used. The jets emanate from a perforated pipe in the space between the drum and roller.
