<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the disturbance onto a existing receiver and to prevent deterioration in the reproduced picture quality by applying orthogonal transformation through the operation in the vertical direction of a signal of, e.g. a side section and applying frequency multiplex transmission to high order component with a small data level obtained through the orthogonal conversion. CONSTITUTION:Low order terms a0, a1 of an output signal of an orthogonal transformer 130 are inputted to a frequency multiplex processing section 140. The inputted signal a1 is converted into a signal at a frequency band not overlapped with the signal a0 by a frequency shift circuit 114 and added by an adder 115. On the other hand, high order terms a2, a3 outputted from the orthogonal transformer 130 are inputted to a time division multiplex processing section 150. The processing section 150 consists of a 2-line delay device 116 and a selector circuit 117, a selector circuit is selected in the unit of lines in the order of the signal a2, 0, signal a3 and the result is outputted from an output terminal 119. Thus, the component subject to frequency multiplex onto the entire picture is reduced and the disturbance to an existing receiver is almost lost.</p> |
