PURPOSE:To provide the title agent having also marked effect on infectious diseases due to bacteria resistant to conventional antifungal agents, containing tiamulin or its nontoxic salt. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent containing, as active ingredient, tiamulin (or its nontoxic salt such as fumarate, hydrochloride or quaternary ammonium salt), a derivative of pleuromutilin as a diterpene-based antibiotic obtained from a culture filtrate for Pleurotus mutilus. For the administration of the present compound, although there are various methods such as peroral technique, injection, coating and dipping, peroral administration using a raw bait or formula feed containing said compound is preferable) the dosage being pref. >=5mg(potency)/kg fish body weight, esp. 20mg(potency)/kg fish body weight in terms of therapeutic effects, economy and liking. |
