MANUFACTURING RPOCESS OF POLYESTER FIBER

The polyester fiber is produced by esterification reacting terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol under N2 gas at 220-260 deg.C for 3 hr, adding antimony trioxide and trimethyl phosphate to the polymer, adding 0.01-0.3 wt.% calcium carbonate and 2.0-3.0 wt.% titanium dioxide to the polymer when the polymer viscosity is pref. 0.3 or less, melt-spinning the polyester to obtain a knitted fabric, and treating the fabric with a sodium hydroxide soln. The polyester fiber has a soft drapability and touch, and a graceful color.
