Process for viewing holographic images displayed in a luminous environment, and, in particular in daylight. It is characterized in that a dark object (201) is placed adjacent to a hologram (101), the nature and/or display of the former being such that the light emanating from the dark object and reflected by the hologram (101) has an intensity inferior to that of the light emanating from the holographic image. It is further characterized in that the dark object (201) is positioned and oriented such that, when viewed by an observer, the reflection (400) of said object (201) replaces the environment's natural light reflections superimposed on the holographic image (101).
