<p>PURPOSE:To release an IC chip from destruction and to enhance the electrostatic withstand voltage as a data carrier by extending a part of a wiring pattern to the part holding a fixed minute distance from an exterior member. CONSTITUTION:The pad 21 of an IC chip 19 is connected to a wiring pattern 18 by a lead wire 22 and further connected to a connection terminal 15 through a through-hole 16 and the signal of the connection terminal 15 is guided to the leading end part 18a of the wiring pattern 18 and the leading end part 18a is opposed to an exterior member 13 so as to provide a fixed minute dis tance d1mm from the member 13. The distance d1 is a discharge gap distance and set so as to be shorter than the discharge gap distance of the IC chip 19. For example, when the distance d1 is set to 0.5mm or less, static electricity of 1 kV or above is entirely discharged within the distance d1. The electrostatic withstand voltage of the IC chip 19 is about 3 kV or above. Therefore, static electricity of 1 kV or above is discharged within the discharge gap distance d1 and, as a result, no static electricity exceeding electrostatic withstand voltage of 3 kV is applied to the IC chip 19 and the IC chip 19 is not destructed.</p> |
