Method for direct visual display of the pitch and duration of a set of musical notes originating from an instrument, characterised in that each individual note is analysed by an appropriate electronic circuit in such a way as to identify the pitch and the duration thereof, and the thus-digitised output of this circuit is directly displayed on a screen which represents the musical instrument itself, with the site at which the fingers should be placed on the instrument, during its duration in real time.
