The present invention relates to a round signalling light with a gas discharge lamp. This light is characterised in that the tube 2 of the discharge lamp constitutes, in the central part of the casing, a transversely flattened coil in order to form two successive superposed layers of straight tube portions 2e, 2f, the lengths of the straight tube portions 2e, 2f increasing from each end of the flattened coil towards the middle part of this coil, and each end 2a, 2b of the tube, situated on the side of one end of the flattened coil, is joined to the other end of the flattened coil by a curved tube portion 2c, in the shape of the arc of a circle, as closely as possible matching the shape of the cylindrical sidewall of the casing. <IMAGE> |
