PURPOSE:To save the energy necessary for the treatment of a waste processing liquid and to provide the compact device by supplying the waste processing liquid into an evaporator by utilizing the difference between the interior pressure of the evaporator and the exterior pressure of the evaporator. CONSTITUTION:The waste processing liquid of the non-silver salt photosensitive material is heated to evaporate moisture in the evaporator 2 under a reduced pressure condition and is thereby separated to water and solute or the condensate thereof. The waste processing liquid is supplied into the evaporator 2 by utilizing the difference between the interior pressure of the evaporator 2 and the exterior pressure of the evaporator 2. The constitution of the device in such a manner that the waste processing liquid is supplied intermittently or continuously into the evaporator 2 by controlling the opening and closing of a solenoid valve 3 so as to automatically maintain the liquid level in the evaporator 2 within a specified range is preferable in terms of the assurance of the easier operation to supply the waste processing liquid into the evaporator 2. The energy necessary for the treatment of the waste processing liquid is saved in this way and the compact device is obtd.
