PURPOSE:To shorten time required for the clipping processing of a graphic by dividing a segment buffer so that the border lines of respective memory spaces can cross in a T-shape. CONSTITUTION:When dividing a memory space 11 so that mutual border lines 12 can cross in the T-shape, the four memory spaces 11 do not get contact at one point. Therefore, the spaces 11 to be dicided that the area attributes read by a clipping part 32 according to area attributes are positioned in a clipping area 14, are only three spaces b2, b3 and b6. Only concerning these areas 11, a clipping part 34 according to a graphic checks whether read graphics 13a-13e are positioned in the area 14 or not. Thus, no processing is executed in the other memory spaces 11 such as b1, b4, b7,... and an area attribute read part 13 reads the area attribute of the space 11 as it is. |
