<p>PURPOSE: To recover a container at the time of a fault at a forming state by removing the container of an end from one or a plurality of container layers, closing a male mold and a female mold, forming the edge at the overall flange, then repeating the step of cooling the female mold, and separating initial four steps from the other steps, thereby obtaining the container having an annular port and the edge. CONSTITUTION: One or a plurality of container layers 27 of a container 21 made of a synthetic thermoplastic material are sent, heated at flanges 35, at least the end container 21 is removed from the layers of the residual container 21, and moved. They are disposed at the female molds 49. The male mold 50 and the mold 49 are closed to form an edge 35'. Thereafter, the container 34 edge-formed from the mold 49 is discharged to a laminate channel. Before another container 21 is disposed at its home position, the step of cooling the mold 49 is periodically repeated.
