A tyre with a decorative sidewall has at least one area where a decorative effect consists of a relief pattern of prominences arranged radially in a fan-shaped manner. The figure shows one example of a side view of a tyre, with its tread edge (1), sidewall (2) and rim (3). The prominences (4) are all straight sharp edges and are disposed fan-wise, so that the distance (a) between adjacent edges decreases towards the rim (3). Moreover they (4) are oblique so that their rim ends (S1) are offset from their tread ends (S0). Other arrangements of the edges (4) can also be made.
