An electric conductor (1) having a large surface area is fixed to an approx. rectangular frame (2) consisting of tubes with curved pieces. The frame is self-supporting on feet (3), and a cable (4) with a free plug is connected for power supply. Three such panels may be arranged around sides of an enclosure centred on a workpiece in which a machine is to be operated. Such an arrangement irradiates only the necessary space. ADVANTAGE - Efficient and esp. aesthetic heater can serve as either a main or an auxiliary source for space heating.
