PURPOSE:To execute proper maintenance by calculating the total number of copied sheets of a unit, comparing it with a set value which is set based on durability and exchanging the unit when the total number of copied sheets is equal to or exceeds the set value. CONSTITUTION:A control means Q1 calculates the total number of copied sheets of the unit 14 and compares it with the set value. The total number of copied sheets is transmitted to a sheet number storage means Q6 installed in the unit 14 so as to store the number of copied sheets concerning the unit 14. When the total number of copied sheets of the unit 14 is equal to or exceeds the set value, the exchange of the unit 14 is displayed. The means Q6 installed in the component unit of a copying machine receives the number of copied sheets which is transmitted from the control means Q1 and stores the number of copied sheets concerning the unit 14. Thus, the exchange time of the unit is easily administered. |
