The manhole cover made of reinforced concrete has the reinforcement formed into a frame. The manhole cover may be circular, square or rectangular and the reinforcing frame is of corresponding shape. The reinforcing frame is supported on the floor of the mould, in which the manhole cover is formed, by means of legs (4) welded to the frame. When the concrete is compacted by being vibrated, these legs (4) prevent the reinforcing frame from moving from its required position in the mould. USE - Prodn. of reinforced concrete manhole covers.
