Production of ceramic branch pipe - involves mould consisting of two half shells

The ceramic branch pipe is produced from a mould consisting of two half shells (2). The internal contours of these half shells correspond to the external contours of the main pipe and to the branch pipe (11). A core (5) is placed in position to form the bore of the main pipe and a core (8) is used to form the bore of the branch pipes (11). The cores (5) and (8) are inserted by means of hydraulic pressure with the pressure being controlled by a mandrel (10) which is removed after the pipe has been formed. USE - Ceramic branch pipes.
