<p>PURPOSE:To prolong the life of an information storage card by providing storage means for storing in which nonvolatile semiconductor storage element information is written and backing up only the nonvolatile semiconductor storage element where the information is written by a battery. CONSTITUTION:This card is provided with the storage means 17 - 19 which store in which of the nonvolatile semiconductor storage elements 1 - 3 the information is written, control circuits 23 - 25 which perform control according to the storage contents of the storage means 17 - 19 so that only the element where the information is written is backed up by the battery 6, and switches 20 - 22. Consequently, the wasteful power consumption of the battery 6 is eliminated and the life of the battery 6 can be prolonged.</p> |
