<p>In a rechargeable battery (1), particularly a motor vehicle battery, the front part of the block cover (3) on which the pole terminals (4) and the sealing plugs (6) are located is covered by a cover plate (8) which is detachably connected to the cover and which forms a flush seal with the non-covered remainder of the dome-shaped raised block cover part. The continuous, flat cover surface has a protective effect and is suitable for the application of decorative markings. The ends (11) of the cover plate are designed as flaps, by means of separating slots (12) and notched-shaped cut-outs (13) in the plastic material, of which the latter act as hinges so that the pole terminals are easily accessible. <IMAGE></p> |
