The data sent out from each sending data transmission module is received in all data transmission modules coupled on the common transmission path, and is stored in a first storage device (14) in the respective modules. The respective sending-out data transmission module receives again the data it has sent out. Each respective sending module sends out at least one indentity mark besides the data to be transmitted to characterise the originating module and/or the sending sequence. By comparison of this mark with the module codes or the sequence codes the beginning of the sending period on each second operation is laid down anew.
