Surgical forceps for use in laparoscopy - have jaws of half cylinder form held closed by spring
摘要
The surgical forceps are for use in laparoscopy. The forceps have two jaws which are hinged together by a bolt. A spring normally holds the two jaws (3) in the closed position. Each jaw (3) is in the form of a half cylindrical shell. When the jaws (3) are closed they form a housing for a trocar or they can be used to grip a rod which is to be inserted into a blood vessel. The instrument is also intended for use in removing the gall bladder which can be done without enlarging the initial incision.
