<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the nonuniformity of printing density by detecting the temperature of a thermal head to determine the width of control pulse for turning on and off the thermal head. CONSTITUTION:A thermister 6 converts the temperature information on a printer head 3 into the voltage information 19 thereof and, in a thermister voltage detection circuit 5, the analog information is converted into the digital information. This digital information is transmitted to a printer controller 1 through a signal conductor 18. The printer controller 1 compares this information with a table stored in a storage element such as internal ROM to determine the pulse width of a strobe signal 11. A switch 20 for the electric source 9 of the printer head 3 and a switch 21 for the electric drive source 10 of a motor 4 are turned on and off by a printer action control signal 14. The start and end of the counting by a counting circuit 7 and the resetting thereof are controlled by an enable signal 12 to count reference pulse 13.</p> |
