Grinding system with roll and tape - has hooked pile fastener on roll side of tape and lamellae fastened to grinding side

The grinding roll incorporates a roll body and a grinding tape which is fastened detachably on the jacket surface of the roll body. The tape consists of a strip shaped fabric substrate with open ends. On the roll body side, the substrate is equipped with a pile material forming part of a hooked pile type fastener. On the workpiece side, it features axially parallel grinding lamellae while the roll body incorporates a core surrounded by an intermediate layer consisting of an intermediate layer of elastic foam as well as an outer ring forming the jacket surface. The ring is pref. made of aluminium. USE/ADVANTAGE - The grinding roll is suitable for applications under large pressure forces.
