Puncturing cannula for the direct puncture of arterio-venous fistulae or larger vessels for intermittent haemodialysis has a web, integral with the wall, extending from the point towards the rear. Ground faces adjoin the sharp point and run out before the openings end. The rims of these openings are ground to facets which partly overlap with the ground faces. The entire cannula is pref. made of non-corrosion metal. The head, at least the web, are pref. made of plastic material.
