PURPOSE:To make a system for controlling a fixing means stable by controlling a temperature in a transfer means so that a temperature in the fixing means may be kept constant. CONSTITUTION:A latent image formed on an image carrier 17 is developed with developer and a developer image, which is developed, on the image carrier is transferred to a medium P where an image should be formed by the transfer means 20 and fixed by the fixing means 37. The temperature in the fixing means 37 is measured by a measuring means 37b and a temperature with reference to the delay of measurement by the means 37b is corrected, then the temperature in the transfer means 20 is controlled in accordance with the corrected temperature so as to keep the temperature in the fixing means 37 constant. Namely, the temperature in the fixing means 37 using a value which is delayed by a time constant is easily corrected to a value approximate to the actual temperature in the fixing means 37 by making the time constant equal to a control cycle. Thus, the system for controlling the temperature in the fixing means is made stable. |
