<p>PURPOSE:To remove the noise of a detection signal by splitting the output light of a pockels element into two lights to measure the intensities of lights that did and did not pass through a detector and dividing the former intensity by the latter. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from a laser diode or LED 1 is passed through a polarizer 3 through an optical fiber 2 to be incident to a pockels element 4. The light passed through the element 4 is divided into two lights by a beam splitter 5. One light is incident to a photodetector 6 and the output thereof is inputted to a divide circuit 11 through an A/D converter 7. The other light is incident to a photodetector 9 through a detector 8 and the output thereof is inputted to the circuit 11 through an A/D converter 10. The output of the converter 10 is divided by that of the converter 7 by the circuit 11 to obtain an electric field intensity signal from which noise is removed.</p> |
