<p>The device, which emits recurrent pulses, is equipped with an intercorrelation circuit for the determination of blood velocity profiles. According to the invention, it incorporates a plurality of band-pass delay-line filters (13, 14, 15) for eliminating fixed echoes, the pass bands of the filters being adjacent to each other. Amplitude detectors (16, 17, 18) are connected to the input of a comparator (23) and delay elements (19, 21, 22) are connected between the output from each filter and a multiplexer (24). The multiplexer receives a control signal (CO) originating from the comparator in order to select at its output that output signal from the filters which has the greatest amplitude.
