Cyclohexenone dervis. of formula (I) are new, where Y = 1-6C alkylsulphonyl, 1-6C haloalkyl sulphanyl, 2-6C haloalkanoyl, R5CO or R5CS, R5=OH, 1-6C alkoxy, NH2 or mono or di-(1-6Calkyl) amino; Z=H, halo, 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C alkanoyl, suphanoyl, mono-or di-(1-4C alkyl) sulphamoyl, COOH or t trifluoroacetamido; R1 = H, acyl or (in) organic cation; R2 2-6C alkenyl, 2-6C haloalkenyl, 3-6C alkynyl or 1-6C alkyl (opt. substd. by halo or phenyl (opt. substd. by 1-3 of halo and/or 1-6C alkyl), R3=1-6C alkyl; R4 = H, 1-6C alkyl or 2-7C alkoxycarbonyl.
