PURPOSE:To attain highly accurate control by discriminating an error mean value of a demodulated digital PSK reproduction signal and forming a control signal of a phase detection carrier reproduction section or the like. CONSTITUTION:A carrier phase-locked with a carrier of a received PSK signal including a VCO or the like is reproduced by a carrier reproduction section 1, is received as phase detection, and by an orthogonal demodulation 2 via recovered carriers whose phases differ by 90 deg., a modulated PSK signal is demodulated to I, Q channel orthogonal signals, and they are fed to a signal processing section 4 via an A/D converter 3. A control section 5 receiving an output of the processing section 4 applies error discrimination of I, Q signals based on a setting error discrimination area as to a signal point corresponding to the I, Q channels and a mean value of polarity error and quantity error is generated as a control signal. Then the reproduction section 1 is subject to high accuracy feedback control and the PSK demodulation with less error is implemented.
