PURPOSE:To perform best matching when the present position of a moving body is to be displayed on a road map by making the threshold value of a parameter lower than that when the inner temperature of an angular velocity detector is stable until the inner temperature of the angular velocity detector is completely raised to become stable at a fixed temperature. CONSTITUTION:Until the rise of the inner temperature of an angular velocity detector 2 is finished, the threshold value of a parameter which is an object to be judged for matching is set lower than a general threshold value when the inner temperature is stable. Concretely, a correlative value (f) between the pattern of the running locus of a moving body and the pattern of a road on a road map is set to be increased, e.g., 100% in comparison with the general threshold value by a signal processing apparatus 3 until the inner temperature of the detector 2 is completely raised. Moreover, an angular difference between the advancing direction at the present position of the moving body and the direction of the road on the road map is set to be, for example, 5 times the general difference. When the temperature rise is completed, the apparatus 3 returns the threshold value of the parameter to the general value. Accordingly, an optimum present position is displayed at 7. |
