Drilling holes in multilayer circuit boards - using drill with several drill bits connected to each other but independently controllable for adaption to position of layers

The method uses a circuit board drilling machine comprising drill bits attached to each other. The receiving plates (5) are adjustable in two orthogonal directions. By a comparison of target and actual values of the drilling positions, the adjustment of the inner positions (13,14) of a multi position circuit board is established to drill in the desired position (12). The plates (5) are moved to the desired target position according to the size and direction of the inner position adjustment. Control can be carried out by computer. USE/ADVANTAGE - Can drill several holes at the same time with accuracry. Several circuit boards can be drilled at the same time. Surface requirment reduced and less expensive.
