摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the number of the constitutional elements of a flaw detector by checking acoustic coupling by receiving the signal from one of the opposed by disposed ultrasonic probes with the other ultrasonic probe. CONSTITUTION:The transmission pulse signals generated from transmission parts 9a, 9b are supplied to ultrasonic probes 3a, 3b to be incident to a material 2 to be inspected through transmission vibrators 5a, 5b and contact media 4a, 4b. These signals are mutually received by the probes 3a, 3b and amplified by receiving parts 11a, 11b to be inputted to acoustic coupling judging parts 17a, 17b and an acoustic coupling state is detected within the gate sections of pulses 23, 24. The flaw reflection signal of the material 2 to be inspected is received by the vibrators 5a, 5b and amplified by the receiving parts 11a, 11b and the presence of the flaw within the gate sections of pulses 21, 22 is judged by flaw judging parts 15a, 15b to obtain flaw presence signals 25a, 25b.
