The gas and air supply line for the burner is connected to an air supply line with temp. and flow measuring devices connected to a control unit for regulating the air flow of optimum combustion. The unit controls a fan in the flue duct. Auxiliary air and gas supply lines iwth control valves are also connected to the gas and air supply line. The two lines (21,23) are connected to a common valve housing (32) with a single slider (51) controlling their discharge into the main line. The slider is operated by a stepping motor so that it slides across the two discharge openings (40,38) to open or close both. The sizes of the two openings are proportional to the size of the fuel and air supply lines.
