A fireproof, waterproof, and acidproof binder is characterized by a hardened composition of 10-90% by weight of alkali silicate, comprising sodium waterglass or potassium waterglass, or a mixture of the same, 1-40% by weight of reactive metal oxide from the group comprising magnesium, titanium, and zinc, preferably magnesium oxide, 1-70% by weight of calcium/magnesium carbonate, preferably dolomite and, if desired, magnesium silicate, felspat, a chemically active micro silica, potassium/sodium-aluminium silicate, sodium carbonate, expanded clay, wood fibres, cement, limestone dust, sand, an organic binder, water or a mixture of the same. |
