<p>PURPOSE:To have smooth shift of gearing with simple operation by energizing either of a plurality of coils through a cable in conformity to the sensing signals of a rotation sensor, car speed sensor, and shift lever sensor, and by furnishing a controller which couples the specified follower gear with the main shaft. CONSTITUTION:When the driver turns a shift lever 36 into the desired position while the car is going to start or during shift operation, current flows through a cable 19 to that coil which is selected by a controller 21 in conformity to the sensing signals of sensors. This magnetizes the soft magnetic powder, which is confined between follower parts 51-55 mating with this coil and the main shaft 12, and also the soft magnetic steel around the powder. Thereby the follower gears 51-55 can be coupled with the main shaft 12 smoothly.</p> |
