<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic recording and reproducing device contrived in view of enhancing its operability by constituting the device in such a manner that a small size tape cassette can directly be inserted into the device as well as a standard tape cassette. CONSTITUTION:When the standard tape cassette is inserted into a prescribed position of a standard tape cassette holder 7, a driving motor is started, and a cam gear 30 is driven to rotate clockwise. Consequently, a slide lever 24 is slid to move, and the standard tape cassette holder 7 is guided by guide grooves 8 and 9 and loaded into the device. Then, when the small size tape cassette is inserted into a prescribed position of a small size tape cassette holder 10, the driving motor 33 is rotated, and the cam gear 30 is driven to rotate anticlockwise. Consequently, the small size tape cassette holder 10 is guided to move by guide grooves 11 and 12 to load the small size tape cassette into the device. A lock arm 145 is freely turnably borne to a shaft erected on a projecting part 147 of a front face panel 2 of this device. When the holder 10 is moved, a shutter 74 is held by the arm 145 in a position to be free from interference with the holder in its movement, and the shutter 74 is locked unless otherwise.</p> |
