PURPOSE:To speed up a compressing and a thinning-out process by providing a storage part for storing patterns, a control circuit which compresses, and thins out the stored patterns, and a parameter part which supplies parameters to the control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A pattern stored in the storage part 4 is stored in a stand-by storage part 8 by one line with a write pulse. When the thinning-out process is performed, a mode signal from a data selection mode register 5 for a selector becomes '0' to select the side of an input A of a two-input selector 3 at all times, and extracted data from the stand-by storage part 8 is stored in the storage part 4 with a CLK 1 generated with a reduction parameter. For the compressing process, the mode signal becomes '1' and when the reduction parameter is '1', an input B is selected to select data, generated by ORing last data with current extracted data, by the two-input selector 3, but when the parameter is '0', the input A is selected and stored in the storage part 4. Those operations are performed up to a final line. Consequently, the compressing and thinning-out processes are speeded up greatly. |
