PURPOSE:To obtain the subject nonwoven fabric useful as molding core materials having excellent bulkiness by containing a foaming agent having a foaming temperature higher than the melting point of a thermoplastic adhesive in a nonwoven fabric comprising constituting fibers mutually bound with said thermoplastic adhesive followed by foaming with heating. CONSTITUTION:Nonwoven cloth in which constituting fibers are bound with a thermoplastic adhesive (e.g. polyethylene) is impregnated with a solution containing foaming agent having a maximum foaming ratio at a foaming temper ature higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic adhesive [e.g. foaming agent of microcapsule type composed of outer wall comprising thermoplastic resin (e.g. vinylidene chloride-acrylonitrile copolymer) and a thermo-expansible substance (e.g. isobutane) included in the wall. When heated, the thermoplastic adhesive is melted and simultaneously the foaming agent is foamed to afford the objective nonwoven fabric. |
