PURPOSE:To measure the concn. of org. matter with a high sensitivity and high operability to a specific org. material by using the carboxylic acid group of a cyclohexane tricarboxylic acid deriv. as a functional group and taking out a change in various properties when various kinds of materials are adsorbed in the pocket of a molecular size as a detection signal. CONSTITUTION:This org. matter sensor is constituted by using the carboxylic acid group of the org. matter in which at least one of the carboxylic groups of the cyclohexane tricarboxylic acid expressed by formula are substd. with a substituent R consisting of 10 to 22C long chain alkyl group or the deriv. thereof as the functional group. The sensor is so fixed to a solid surface that this functional group is positioned on the front surface side and the space of the molecular size is formed by the molecule alone or the structuring of the molecule. Namely, the space of the molecular size formed by the cyclohexane tricarboxylic acid devic. is utilized as an org. matter recognizing part, by which various kinds of the org. matter are exactly detected.
