<p>PURPOSE:To attain the detection with high sensitivity by detecting an electromagnetic wave generated with a local discharge by plural detectors and deciding a place of generation of the local discharge in accordance with the detected signal, detector mounting position stored beforehand, and propagating amount of electromagnetic wave on each component part. CONSTITUTION:In a tublar metal container 1, a high voltage conductor 2 is supported with insulated supporting bodies SP1-SP12, and also the plural detectors S1-S3 are provided therein along with enclosing of an insulating gas. Then, the electromagnetic wave of local discharge propagating in the container 1 to a wide area is detected by the detectors S1-S3. Spectrum intensities of electromagnetic waves detected from the detectors S1-S3 are obtained by a evaluating device 20. Since the propagating amount of electromagnetic wave for this spectrum intensity is being attenuated by each component part of an electric power device in the way from the generating point of local discharge upto the detectors, the place generating the maximum spectrum intensity, i.e., the generating place of local discharge is decided with considering the propagating amount of each component part stored beforehand, then the decided result is outputted.</p> |
