PURPOSE:To decrease optical loss by extending a driving belt which moves a moving table to between a moving table and a 2nd driving means and positions it. CONSTITUTION:A floating head 22 is mounted on an abutting head 20 by inserting its main body into the mount hole of a support wall 20a and interposing a holding means which holds the head 22 in a freely swayable state, e.g. an energizing spring 23 between the rear end of a conic part 22b and an abutting wall 20b. A moving device 50 has the driving belt 52 consisting of a 2nd driving motor 51 and a timing belt. A pulse motor, etc., which is high in the positioning accuracy of the moving table 40 is used as a 2nd driving motor 51. The positioning accuracy of the moving table 40 is therefore improved and the abutting connection between both ferrules 11 and 21 is made smoothly. Consequently, the optical loss is suppressed low at the time of the abutting connection and the light beam path switching device which is inexpensive and has high reliability is obtained. |
