PURPOSE:To increase corrosion resistance, reduce cost, and improve temperature characteristics, by forming a phosphate coating film on the surface of alnico magnet alloy powder, and mixing flame-retardant binder in the alloy powder. CONSTITUTION:Phosphate treating liquid is made by dissolving the following in water together with suitable admixture; phosphate compound such as zinc phosphate, iron phosphate, zinc calcium phosphate, and manganese phosphate. After alnico magnet alloy powder is dipped in the treating liquid, or the liquid is sprayed on the powder surface, the powder is dried. Thus a phosphate coating film is formed, and the coating film amount is set to be 2-20g/m<2>, thereby obtaining sufficient corrosion resistance. The alnico magnet alloy powder having a phosphate coating film on the surface and flame-retardant binder are mixed, and a desired shape is obtained by using a molding method like injection molding method in a magnetic field of 5-10kOe. Thereby alnico magnet alloy powder of low cost which is excellent in corrosion resistane and temperature characteristics, and a flame-retardant bond magnet using the alloy powder can be obtained. |
