PURPOSE:To improve the utilizing efficiency of an integrated service digital communication network and to reduce a packet communication time by setting a fixed communication line with plural low speed packet calls and a variable communication line only when a high speed packet call takes place. CONSTITUTION:A communication line selection means 100 analyzes a communication speed of a packet call whose setting is on request and selects a fixed communication line F connecting a caller and a called packet processing unit 21 as packet call setting when the communication speed is lower than a predetermined reference value and requests the setting of a variable communication line C for packet call reaching the called packet processing unit 21 to an integrated service digital communication network 1 when the communication speed is higher than the predetermined reference value. Thus, the fixed communication line is efficiently used without a long wait time by plural low speed packet calls and the variable communication line is set only when a high speed packet call takes place and used efficiently, then the utilizing efficiency of the integrated service digital communication network is improved and the packet communication time is also reduced. |
