A combustor wick is produced by mixing 300g portland cement powder with 300g clay powder, heat-treating the mixt. at 1000 deg.C, mixing 120g zeolite, 15g zircon, 20g monazite and 300ml water with the mixt. to obtain a kneaded material, molding the kneaded material in the mold to obtain 8 x 12 x 20 mm molded material, and drying and heat-treating the molded material at 1000 deg.C. The wick is semipermanent and free from the generation of a soot and a toxic gas, and has an excellent heat efficiency.
