PURPOSE:To obtain a vulcanizable rubber composition having excellent rubber elasticity, thermal aging resistance, oil resistance, etc., and suitable as an electrical insulation material, automobile parts, etc., by compounding a specific chlorinated ethylene.alpha-olefin copolymer rubber with a specific block copolymer at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) a chlorinated ethylene.alpha-olefin copolymer rubber having a chlorine content of 20-40wt.% and a Mooney viscosity of 10-190 and produced by the chlorination of an ethylene.alpha-olefin copolymer composed of a 3-10C alpha-olefin and having an ethylene/alpha-olefin molar ratio of 75/25 to 95/5 and (B) a styrene/ ethylene.butene/styrene block copolymer having a specific gravity of 0.89-0.93 and a weight ratio of the styrene unit to the ethylene-butene unit of 20/80-35/65 at a weight ratio (A/B) of 95/5 to 70/30. |
