PURPOSE:To transfer a sheet smoothly by attaching a pusher roller of a sheet transfer quantity detecting means or turning angle detecting means to a pressurizing means making its pressing force variable, and decreasing the pressing force lying between rollers at time of sheet insertion into the sheet transfer quantity detecting means. CONSTITUTION:In this device, there is provided a sheet transfer quantity detecting means which pressingly holds a sheet 13 in between through a freely rotable pusher roller 9 set up as opposed to a turning shaft of a turning angle detecting means 8 or a roller 11 attached tight to this turning shaft. At this time, the pusher roller 9 or the turning angle detecting means 8 of the sheet transfer quantity detecting means is attached to a pressurizing means 15 which makes its pressing force to the sheet 13 variable. With action of this pressurizing means 15, this pressing force is brought down to zero or a very small amount at time of inserting the sheet 13, through which a reaction out of the roller, so far produced at time of sheet insertion, is brought down to zero or a very small amount as well, thus smooth sheet feeding takes place. |
