The present invention provides compositions which are useful as refrigeration liquids in refrigerators and air-conditioners including auto, home and industrial air-conditioners. The invention provides phosphorus-containing compositions which are compatible with fluorine-containing hydrocarbons used in refrigerators and air-conditioners. The phosphorus-containing compositions act as a lubricant additive for air-conditioners.
