PURPOSE:To omit a shared file to record the network state and to exclude the succession errors by making an inquiry to a communication connecting device for the state of the network resources which are controlled by a host computer having a fault. CONSTITUTION:A fault is detected and reported to a host computer fault informing means 42 and this means 42 informs the host computers 20 and 30 of the fault of a host computer 10 via a communication control means 41. Thus both computers 20 and 30 receives the report on the fault of the computer 10 via the communication control means 21 and 31. For instance, the computer 30 takes over the network resources of the faulty computer 10. In such a case, an information inquiring means 33 is started to make an inquiry to a communication connecting device 40 for the network information on the succession of the network resources. Thus a file to be shared by plural host computers can be omitted. and at the same time the state of a network is always obtained at occurrence of a fault. |
