<p>PURPOSE:To control rolling load with high accuracy by selectively multiplying each output of a 1st compensator by compensation factor that is preliminarily determined corresponding to the position of each caliber with a 2nd compensator. CONSTITUTION:Strain gages Ga, Gb, Gf, Ge are mounted on the stand posts 11, 12 of a blooming mill. The outputs of the strain gages are multiplied by the compensation factors that are preliminarily determined with the 1st compensator to eliminate effects that are exerted to each output of the strain gages with the difference between the motor side and the free side. The compensation factors that are determined with the 1st compensator are selectively multiplied with a 2nd compensator to eliminate effects that are exerted to the outputs of the strain gages with each of the calibers of rolling rolls 14, 15. In this way, the rolling load due to the blooming mill can be exactly detected regardless of the free side or motor side and of the position of caliber.</p> |
