CATCHING AND PROPELLING DEVICE

The device grips and guides parts to be processed on machine tools, especially on centre lathes for pre-flattened parts. The device consists of two scroll chucks (1) fitted each by flange (2) to the opposite ends of a hollow axle (3) mounted with ball bearings (4) inside a body (8). At its turn, the body (8) is fixed on a plate (9) mounted on the transversal slide of the lathe. The hollow axle (3) rotation is induced, by means of a pair of steering worms (6 and 7) with taps, by a pair of bevel gears (15 and 16) and intermediate shafts (13 and 17) of a flexible chain gearing (19, 20, 21, and 23) from the gearbox of the machine tool slide.<IMAGE>
