摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To convey a web so optimally without entailing any damage to a cambium being formed on this thin web by installing a projection, having a stronger drive-delivery power than that on a cylindrical peripheral surface, at a position being opposed and contacted to a nonusing area in and around both edges in the cross direction of the web along the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic recording medium 14 deposited with a magnetic layer 16, consisting of a ferromagnetic metal film, on a thin web 18 of less than 10mum in thickness is supported by a conveyor roll 18 and conveyed after the specified tension is given, an edge of an engaged projection 12, contacting with both lug parts 18a, 18b of the web 18, at the side being opposed to the conveying direction of the web 18 is elastically bitten into each contact surface of these lug parts 18a, 18b. With this constitution, since the projection 12 relatively engages these lugs, through which a drive-delivery power is enhanced, the conveyor roll 10 is turned round without entailing any slip with movement of a magnetic recording medium 14. In this connection, the projection is formed into a sectional rectangle, a sectional triangle, or the like, by way of example, and simultaneously it should be set to such a height as preventing the web 18 from being largely bent.</p>
